First day back, and we've had a visitor!

The 5/4 Deers came back to school today after their Christmas holidays and were greeted by some mysterious eggs.

At the front of the classroom a nest had been built containing 3 large, white and black spotted eggs.

A trail of large footprints led away from the nest towards the door.

The class spent the morning investigating the scene, nest and measuring the footprints.

What animal has laid these large eggs?

  1. Hello Deer. I am trying to solve the mystery of the peculiar eggs. I have been a dino expert since I was two! Did you know that pachycephalosaurus head-butted each other to see who was the dominant male? I love dinosaurs and I want to find out what dinosaur laid your eggs. I think it might be a herbivore because carnivores laid eggs that were ovals. Perhaps it was a parasaurolophus. Please can you let me know if you find out which dinosaur it was.

  3. Dear George. Thank you for your message. The eggs have holes and cracks in them and one has a large hole. Do you have any dinosaur toys at home? How many years have you been a dinosaur expert?
    Have you fed our fish?
