The 5/4 Deers, along with all the juniors, walked to Diss town centre this afternoon to watch the Royal Anglican Regiment receive the freedom the town for their duties in Afghanistan.
Our class were very lucky to receive VIP treatment. We had the best view in the house, the front row, as we watched the soldiers march through the town centre with their rifles and bayonets.
Some of us were lucky enough to be to ask one of the soldiers some questions. Others were even interviewed for the local news. It was all very exciting!
As well as celebrating the return of these brave soldiers. We also thought about the soldiers who haven't returned. We will think about them again on 11th November.
